Four young men yesterday denied breaking into the Scan Computers showroom in Marsa early on Monday morning and stealing €2,300 worth of items.

Wayne Delia, 25, of Żejtun, Christopher Agius, 19, of Paola, Joseph Barbara 20, of Tarxien and Joshua Gatt, 21, of Kalkara allegedly smashed the shop’s show window to gain entry.

Mr Delia and Mr Agius were also charged with stealing a white Ford Transit van and Mr Delia and Mr Gatt were accused of relapsing.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke remanded them in custody. Lawyers Shazoo Ghaznavi and Robert Galea appeared for Mr Delia and Mr Agius. Lawyer Mark Busuttil appeared for Mr Barbara and Mr Gatt. Police Inspector Chris Pullicino prosecuted.
