N.C.W. would like to invite all its members and the public to participate in the activities marking its 40th anniversary, which will be held in September.

The highlights include an art exhibition, a concert, a seminar focusing on the importance of developing the potential of the workforce, which will also include the challenges facing women in advancing careers, and a Well Woman Package.

A detailed programme will be published in the coming weeks.

World Breastfeeding Week 2004

World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated yearly between August 1 and 7 in more than 120 countries. This year's theme is "Exclusive Breastfeeding: the Gold Standard - Safe, Sound, Sustainable."

The Association of Breastfeeding Counsellors (ABC) is celebrating World Breastfeeding Week at City Gate, Valletta, on Wednesday, August 4 at 10 a.m. Breastfeeding counsellors will be available to answer your breastfeeding queries and any related issues.

Activities and promotions will be held throughout this week by various bodies including the health promotion unit, the ABC, and the parentcraft, maternity and obstetrics departments of Karin Grech Hospital.
