• The philanthropic society Talent Mosti is organising a Mass, to be celebrated by Mosta archpriest Fr Mario Tong, for the repose of the souls of its deceased members and benefactors, on Tuesday at 6.30 p.m. at Mosta parish church. • YWCA (Malta) will be holding a tea card party at the Imperial Hotel, Sliema, on Wednesday at 4.30 p.m. Members and their guests are invited to attend. YWCA will be holding its monthly meeting at its premise,s 178, Valley Road, Msida, on November 24 at 5.30 p.m. Guests are invited.

• An evening of prayer for peace and new evangelisation will be held on Wednesday from 5.30 to 6.30 p.m. in Sarria church’s basement chapel, Floriana, organised by the International Movement of prayer Blessed Pope John XXIII. All are invited.

• Bingo Night every Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Culture Performance Hall of the Sliema Band Club, 34, St Trophimus Str, Sliema, in aid of the 2011 Feast of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Sliema.

• The next Richmond Foundation self-help group meetings for those experiencing mental health difficulties will be held at 16, Antonio Agius Street, Floriana, on Thursday from 5.30 to 7 p.m. The Never Mind Leisure Centre at St Augustine’s parish hall, Valletta, is also open every Monday from 5.30 to 7 p.m. The centre welcomes all those who would like to make friends in a safe, fun and creative environment. • The 1st Rabat Scout Group will be inaugurating its new headquarters in Rudolph Saliba Street, Rabat, next Sunday. Celebrations will begin at 10 a.m. with a church parade from Saqqajja to St Paul’s parish church, where High Mass will be said at 10.30 a.m. Later, the headquarters will be blessed and officially opened. The public is invited to attend.

• SPCA Malta will be holding its annual Christmas fair at Palazzo Parisio, Naxxar, next Sunday from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. There will be home-made cakes for sale, a Christmas grotto and prizes to be drawn up by raffle. Visitors will also have the opportunity to have their pets painted by leading Maltese artists Kenneth Zammit Tabona and Debbie Caruana Dingli.

• The next Mir prayer meeting will be held on November 23 from 7 to 10 p.m. at St Bartholemew parish church, Għargħur. During the monthly meeting there will be a recital of the rosary followed by Mass and adoration. Priests will be available for the sacrament of reconciliation. Instead of donating money during the meeting, foodstuffs will be collected for Fondazzjoni Suret il-Bniedem, a Franciscan organisation that cares for the homeless. All are welcome to attend.

• The 3/11 Regiment Royal Malta Artillery (Territorial) Association will be holding its annual general meeting at the Sliema Chalet Hotel, Għar id-Dud, Sliema, on November 26 at 6.30 p.m. This will be followed by the annual pasta night.
