Marriages

Mr KEITH CAMILLERI, B.COM and Miss LARA JANE PULIS,B.Sc. (Hons.), SRP

The marriage between KEITH, son of Mr and Mrs Kevin Camilleri, and LARA JANE, daughter of Mr and Mrs Joseph Pulis, took place on Saturday, October 16 at St Gregory church, Żejtun. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Canon Lawrence Bonnici. The ceremony was witnessed by the groom’s uncle, Dr Stefan Buontempo, MP and Ms Carmen Buttigieg. The duties of bestmen were carried out by Dr Robert Radmilli and Mr Ian Borg. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs Yvette Tyrku, who was matron of honour. The groom’s sister, Mrs Krista Rizzo, Miss Danila Buontempo and Mrs Tara Radmilli were bridesmaids. The bride’s nephew, Master Matthias David Tyrku was the ring bearer. Mr Matthew Rizzo, Mr Viktor Tyrku, Mr Ian Camilleri and Mr Shaun Ungaro were ushers. A reception was afterwards held at the Monte Kristo Wine Vaults, Monte Kristo Estates, limits of Siġġiewi.

Mr STEPHEN DELIA and Dr FLEUR SHAW

The marriage took place on Friday, September 24, at Lapsi Church, St Julians, between STEPHEN, son of the late George and Olivia Delia, and FLEUR, daughter of William and Jane Shaw. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr George Schembri and the ceremony was witnessed by Mr Christian Delia and Dr Suzanne Shaw. Mr Alex Vella Falzon carried out the duties of best man. The bride was attended by Dr Erika McGinnes and Miss Nina Fauser. Miss Sofia Delia was flower-girl while Master George Delia and Master Daniel Shaw were pageboys. Mr Mark Shaw, Mr Nico Fauser, Dr John Paul Caruana Galizia, Dr Austin Gauci Maistre and Dr Nicolai Vella Falzon were ushers. A reception was held at Villa Arrigo, San Pawl tat-Tarġa.

Mr CHRISTOPHER MEIJLINK and Ms SARAH BONNICI

The marriage took place on October 16, at the Sanctuary of Our Lady, Mellieħa, between CHRISTOPHER, son of Mr and Mrs Antoine Meijlink, and SARAH, daughter of Mr and Mrs James Bonnici. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Fr Charles Carabott. The ceremony was witnessed by Mrs Francisca Zielke and Mr Fabio Bonnici. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Maurits Meijlink. The bride was attended by Ms Sarah Testaferrata Moroni Viani as maid of honour, together with Ms Christine Micallef and Miss Hannah Heuser as bridesmaids. A reception was later held at Hotel Phoenicia, Valletta.

Obituary

CACHIA. MAE née Borg Bartolo passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital. She is mourned and remembered by her children Grace Ann, Robert Michael and his wife JoAnn, her loving carers Silvana and Wieni, her siblings and their spouses. To celebrate her transition to eternal serenity, Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, tomorrow at 2.30 p.m., followed by private interment. The family regrets being unable to receive visitors. May she rest in peace. Please remember her in your prayers.

DeBATTISTA. On November 13, at her residence in Birkirkara, HELEN, aged 90, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joe and his wife Jessica, Anton and his wife Gina, Sr Grace of the Augustinian Sisters, Louis and his wife Miriam, Monica, wife of Peter Pace O’Shea, Mario and his wife Rita, John and Judith, Raymond and his wife Anita, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Fleur-de-lys, Birkirkara, today at 2.30 p.m. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal life.
