Amantino Mancini has had little playing time for Inter this season but the Brazilian winger does not intend to leave the club in summer.

Mancini, formerly of Roma, has made just nine starts for Inter and reports say he could be on his way out of the San Siro as Jose Mourinho wants to make big changes in his squad.

Mancini said: "Even if up until now I have not been considered a lot, my desire is to stay with Inter."

Mancini, 28, was widely regarded as one of the best wingers in Serie A when he played for Roma between 2003 and 2008. He scored 40 goals in 153 appearances for the Giallorossi.

Napoli supporters attack Galliani

A group of Napoli fans threw stones at Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani's car after the sides drew 0-0 in Naples on Sunday, Italian media reported. Police had to escort Galliani's car away from trouble.

Galliani was on his way to the airport when his car was stopped by around 50 hardline supporters - the Ultras.

They blocked the way and began to throw stones at his car, prompting his police escort to call for back-up before order was restored.

Napoli fans were angry that Marek Hamsik had a valid goal disallowed for offside just before half-time. Tensions rose throughout the game and reports said a petrol bomb was thrown at Milan fans. Luckily it failed to explode.

Benitez says 'Pool can do better

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez urged his team to keep their feet on the ground and told them they could do even better despite crushing Aston Villa 5-0 on Sunday to underline their title challenge to Manchester United.

"I felt in the first half we gave the ball away sometimes when we could have played better on the counter-attack. The team was doing well but we could have done better," Benitez told Sky Sports.

"We are improving, we have confidence and there are still a lot of games to play.

"We have to keep our feet on the ground and carry on working hard."

Tough to catch Arsenal - O'Neill

Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill admitted it is going to be a very tough job for his team to catch up with Arsenal in the fourth place of the Premiership standings after the 5-0 thrashing to Liverpool on Sunday.

Villa's bid to secure a berth in the Champions League next season has collapsed over the past month following a run of five games without a win. Villa are currently three points behind Arsenal.

O'Neill said: "It is still reachable as Arsenal have many tough games to come.

"But they are getting some of their injured players back and it's going to be very tough."

Anelka out for three weeks

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka will be out of action for three weeks after injuring a toe, the French Football Federation (FFF) said yesterday.

France coach Raymond Domenech called up PSG's Guillaume Hoarau for the first time to take Anelka's place in his squad.

"Hoarau replaces Nicolas Anelka, who is suffering from an injured left big toe and is out of action for three weeks," the FFF said.

France visit Lithuania on Saturday before hosting the Baltic team four days later in World Cup qualifying Group Seven.

Hoarau, 25, has scored 15 goals in Ligue 1 this season.

Mourinho under fire again

Inter coach Jose Mourinho has again been criticised by his fellow Serie A coaches after saying that club presidents often picked the teams in Italy.

The outspoken Portuguese has had a number of run-ins with coaches and football authorities this season after being appointed at Inter in June.

"It surprises me how he has this knowledge. It doesn't seem very elegant or educated," Napoli coach Roberto Donadoni said.

"He probably wanted to fire off one of his usual phrases. I don't see the motivation or the necessity."

Forlan could head back to England

Striker Diego Forlan, currently playing for Atletico Madrid in the Primera Liga, is reported to be a transfer target for Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

Forlan's agent, Daniel Bolotnikoff, revealed the Uruguayan could make a return to England after his 30-month stay with Manchester United before moving to Spain.

Bolotnikoff said: "I have received calls from big clubs requesting information about the situation, but my answer is always the same. Atletico will decide on this subject.

"At the end of the season we will be in a better position to evaluate the situation... Forlan could have a big role in England."
