Some localities in Malta and Gozo suffered a power cut for a few minutes this afternoon due to a fault at Delimara Power Station.

The fault, at 4.54 p.m., led to load shedding in the north of Malta, parts of Gozo, Freeport, Sliema and Gzira..

The supply at Freeport was restored after six minutes while Sliema and Gzira got their supply back at 5.06 p.m.

With the help of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Enemalta engineers were able to restore supply in a shorter time through remote control distribution. Supply was fully restored at 5.17 p.m, Enemalta said.
