EcoPure water bottles are back on the market, five days after a microbiological scare halted production and prompted the company to issue a recall of affected containers.
The company had attributed the anomalous microbiological results to a "technical failure" at its filling plant and said that the recall was purely precautionary as there was no health risk involved.
With that factory failure now resolved, the Farsons Group-owned company has received the Public Health Department's go-ahead to sell new batches of 10 and 18.9-littre containers with immediate effect. Distribution services are expected to resume this coming Monday.
In a statement announcing the resumption of service, EcoPure apologised to customers for the inconvenience caused and said it remained committed to ensuring all its products met the highest quality standards at all times.
Customers with questions about EcoPure products can contact the company helpline on 80074422 or 238144111 during office hours.
