MENABUE VELLA. On July 12, at her home in Modena, Italy, MARTHESE, formerly of Sliema, aged 67, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving husband Celestino, her daughter Lara and her husband Marcello, her sisters and brothers Myriam and her husband Rocco Spano, Carmen and her husband Godfrey Pecorella, Joe and his wife Ricky, George and his wife Kerrie, Richard and his wife Maria Grazia, and her youngest brother Paul and his partner Catherine, all her beloved nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral was held in Modena, Italy, yesterday, Friday, July 14. A memorial service will be held tomorrow, Sunday, July 16, at 11.30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel church, Paceville (next to the Millennium Chapel). Lord, grant her eternal rest.
MIFSUD. On Thursday, July 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, SALLY, of Rabat, aged 75, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children John, Brian and his wife Josephine, and Linda, her grandchildren Nigel and Andy, Amy and her husband Keith and Abigail, her sister, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Saturday, July 15, at 1.30pm for St Paul’s collegiate parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
SCICLUNA. On July 13, at her residence, STELLA, of Fleur-de-Lys, Birkirkara, aged 92, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters May and her husband George, Tania, Joan and her husband Raymond, her grandchildren Elaine, Corinne, Kenneth, Daniel, Christianne and Michael and their respective spouses, her great grandsons Alec, Greg, Luigi and Roberto, her sister Helen Scicluna, in-laws Doris Scicluna and Sr Theresa Scicluna of St Margaret’s Convent, Cospicua, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Saturday, July 15, at 8am for the Carmelite parish church, Fleur-de-Lys, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Crèche, Sliema, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
