What would the warm Maltese nights be without the annual Malta Rock and Jazz Festival?
The festival remains one of the major musical highlights of the Maltese summer. Every year it brings together a mix of music and artistes to suit the diverse tastes of Maltese audiences. And this year is no exception. Running between July 18 and 20, the festival will see an eclectic gathering of fine established local and foreign artistes. The first night will feature Malta's own Nadine Axisa with the Greenhouse Feat trio, Stones World and Cuba's leading son group Sierra Maestra.
The leading UK guitar virtuoso and innovative nuclear blues-rock power trio, the Mizarolli Axe Phenomenon, Gwyn Ashton, and the Scottish rock musician and former Genesis member Ray Wilson will perform on July 19.
The finale on July 20 will see Dominic Galea Quartet, progressive rock legends Curved Air and singer and songwriter Sarah Jane Morris. The festival, organised by NnG Promotions, will be held on the Valletta Waterfront. Tickets can be purchased from Agenda, Vodafone and Exotique outlets and from www.nng promotions.com.
