The GWU said today it has introduced a voluntary early retirement scheme at its printing press because of difficulties caused by competition and a drop in orders.

The union said its company was being restructured to focus more on its primary role of keeping the union members informed.

Workers who opt for early retirement will be assisted to find alternative jobs.
