Garlani dried figs are being realled as a precautionary measure because of the possibility of levels of aflatoxins that exceed legal limits.

The Environmental Health Directorate said that the figs are in 250 gramme plastic packs. The expiry date is April 1, 2013, production date October 1, 2011. The lot number is 11-14, origin Turkey.

The directorate said the company involved was ordered to withdraw the batch from the market but a quantity may have already been bought by consumers.
