One of the leading and most influential TV presenters and journalists, Peppi Azzopardi, very often provides people with food for thought particularly when it comes to humanitarian values. However, there are times when he is not so positive.

A case in point was when recently in the popular programme Bonġu, philosophising, he contended that he can never tell what truth is.

If one tries to become familiar with the Gospel one comes across the words of Jesus Christ: “I am the way and the truth and the life.” (John 14:6.) “If you abide in my word, you shall be my disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32)

There are many who find the words of Jesus Christ challenging, even those who do not believe in His divinity.

Therefore perhaps Mr Azzopardi – possibly with the heavenly inspiration of one of his unique protagonists Annabelle Vassallo – would consider discussing this theme in one of his programmes.
