The cliff collapse in Delimara at 4.58pm yesterday was recorded at two seismic stations in Malta, one at Wied Dalam, the other at the university, the University said.

The fall was not, however, felt at the Gozo station.

The stations are operated by the Seismic Monitoring and Research Group within the Department of Geosciences.

The department noted that a series of small earthquakes occurred last week off the southern coastline of Malta but said it was unlikely that there was a relation between these two occurrences.
