A police investigation has been launched after a dead man was found in a building site at Triq il-Mastrudaxxa, Qormi, this afternoon.

The body was recovered from the site at 5.15pm.

The man's identity and the circumstances which led to the death are unknown.

A forensics team was on the scene.
