A group of five Form 2 students from De La Salle College, Cottonera - Ludwig Camilleri, Jerome Spiteri, Simon Attard, Karl Andrew Schembri and Andrew Cauchi - recently participated in the European Science Expo Week 2008 exhibition in Brussels. Their project 'Characteristics of the Maltese soils', which demonstrated the physical and chemical properties of various soils in Malta, was one of the award-winning projects at this year's NSTS school contest for young scientists.
