Pedro de la Rosa kept McLaren on top in the last day of testing at Jerez on Thursday, marginally faster than Ferrari tester Luca Badoer.

De La Rosa also set the fastest time on Wednesday, in what was the fastest time of the week.

On Thursday he achieved a best time of 1:19.617s, four-tenths off his best Wednesday lap. Badoer was just 0.038s behind.

Mark Webber in a Red Bull set the third best time followed by Nick Heidfeld in a BMW.

Red Bull and Toro Rosso on Wednesday became the latest teams to try a bridge arrangement over the nosecones of their cars, as first introduced by McLaren. BMW, meanwhile, said that Heidfeld was running a car according to the 2008 rules, which exclude driver aids.
