CSKA Sofia have demanded the suspension of referee Stefan Spasov after the official made a number of blunders during the team's 2-2 draw at city rivals Lokomotiv in the Bulgarian league on Saturday.
"We're extremely disappointed and we want Spasov to be taken off the referees' list," CSKA's director Dimitar Dimitrov said.
Coach Luboslav Penev was even more scathing in his criticism of the match official, labling Spasov as "a criminal" after the official awarded two controversial penalties among a series of baffling decisions.
"It's a shame," Bulgarian Football Union's referee commission's chief Dimo Momirov said.
