Norbert Spiteri has been presented with the NCC's (National Computing Centre) High Achiever Award having obtained the highest overall exam results in the European region while undergoing studies at the Swatar Training Centre in Malta.

NCC education has introduced an award scheme to recognise and reward its most talented and hardworking International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS) and International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IAD) students.

The 'On Route to Global Success' scheme will see NCC education presenting regional High Achiever Awards to the IDCS and IAD students who achieve the highest overall exam results in their region.

Mr Spiteri from Crimsonwing received the IAD High Achiever Award for achieving the highest overall exam results in the IAD category in the European Region. This was presented to him last week at Crimsonwing's offices in Marsa, by Patrick Pullicino, manager of the Swatar Training Centre.

NCC Education is the world's leading independent IT testing and certification body. Its unique history spans 35 years and now offers a wide range of globally recognised leading-edge IT education and training programmes for students, end-users and IT professionals.

Recipients of the High Achiever Award are able to communicate to potential employers and academic institutions that they have excelled in their studies and are committed to succeeding.

Of Crimsonwing's 100 staff, 70 hold a first degree while 15 possess a second degree. Those in possession of a Ph.D. number 2 while 55 of Crimsonwing staff hold a professional qualification, e.g. NCC, IDPM, Fellenberg, City and Guilds.

Commenting on the introduction of the award scheme, Michael Haigh, Head of Quality and Standards, said: "NCC Education qualifications are a route to global success. This award communicates to students that they really can achieve their ambitions through studying hard and achieving high exam results."
