Crimsonwing LLC has had a quick start in the US, winning its first end-user clients for Dynamics services. It has a project for a Barbados-based client, while work is also being done for clients in Portland and Calgary.

Crimsonwing LLC, a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Crimsonwing Promentum BV, was incorporated earlier this year in the Washington state, US.

The expansion is the next step in a strategy that started in the latter half of 2007 with the acquisition by Crimsonwing of two distinct companies: the media and entertainment business vertical of Peracto Solutions Ltd and Promentum Holdings, both Microsoft Gold Certified Dynamics partners, based in the UK and Netherlands respectively.

These acquisitions were enhanced by Crimsonwing's listing in December 2007 on the Malta Stock Exchange, a listing which was fully subscribed within an hour of opening to the public. The public offer facilitated the group's acquisitions strategy and accelerated its growth by identifying companies operating within the Microsoft technology market. Crimsonwing LLC is located close to Microsoft's US head office and the managing director, Stefan Van den Brink, will provide Microsoft Academies (for Dynamics) in a business to business model to new Microsoft partners across the US.

As business economies and markets are becoming globalised, companies are demanding an ERP system that can provide functionality and modern technology. This is where Dynamics consultancy and development services can be of benefit.

Crimsonwing LLC will act as a "one stop shop" providing all services for new partners. Most of the time this will start with education in the form of the Partner Academies. However, should additional services be required then the Malta-based Dynamics resource will assist in ramping up the partner as soon as is feasibly possible.

"We expect a huge boost in training demand as soon as Dynamics AX2009 is released in the second quarter of this year. We are also setting up a 'Recruit and Train' program together with Microsoft HQ and anticipate a healthy interest in this offer," Mr Van den Brink said.

The Partner Academy serves two purposes, the first being to ensure that students are certified after three weeks of study. This is followed by a week of ramping up in a live environment. A mock implementation with an experienced Microsoft-certified trainer/tutor is the final stage of this training.

Through its experience with Microsoft in the Netherlands, Crimsonwing LLC has benefitted from an ongoing, close relationship with Microsoft HQ. In the Netherlands, Crimsonwing Promentum was instrumental in demonstrating the dynamics of partnership and today in the US, Crimsonwing LLC will copy the same business model so successfully implemented in the Netherlands to provide Dynamics consultancy and development services.

Crimsonwing plc has sales offices in the UK, Netherlands, Austria and the US and an ISO-certified solution centre in Malta with a group headcount of 180.
