Cosco Container lines, one of the world's largest container shipping lines, last Wednesday began to call at Malta Freeport Terminals as part of the CKYH alliance MD1 service.

Cosco is represented in Malta by Ocean and Sky Logistics Ltd. The Beijing-based China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company, is China's largest shipping group.

It owns and operates over 550 merchant vessels totalling over 500,000 TEUs which are deployed on 80 routes, covering 1,300 ports in more than 160 countries and regions. It also plies routes between vital ports in Europe, America, Africa and Australia.

Established in 2004, Ocean and Sky Logistics Ltd is among Malta's leading freight handlers.

The company began operations with sea freight, gradually extending its services to other areas such as airfreight, ship and liner agency and project cargo. It has also been among the leaders in car transportation from the UK and Japan.

Constantly investing in human and technical resources, the company recently moved to new premises in Marsa, positioning itself closer to the port facilities with even better access for its customers. The group operates in the various aspects of shipping and logistics, both in Malta and Libya, enjoying the support of a global network of agencies and customers.
