• The Ekoskola committees of Aguis de Soldanis and Ninu Cremona secondary schools of Victoria are organising an activity on March 24 where students will collect used batteries from households and establishments in Savina, San Ġorġ, Kaditral, Palm and Republic streets between 8.30 a.m. and 10 a.m.

• The Chorus Urbanus male section will give a recital of Gregorian chants during the second edition of the festival Is-Sagra ta' San Girgor on Friday at the Kerċem parish church. Director John Galea will also give an illustrated lecture on Gregorian chant.

• The Alliance Francaise de Malte - Méditerranée is holding a wine-tasting event sponsored by Charles Grech and Co. Ltd. with an accompanying menu degustation by chef Amand on April 9 and May 7. Sommelier Zoran Crncevic from Charles Grech and Co. Ltd will give a demonstration of wines chosen for the night. • The Dar Guzeppa Debono will be organising a conference on Napro Technology (natural procreative technology) at the hall in front of Lunzjata chapel on March 21 at 10 a.m. The speaker will be Dr Magaret Spiteri. After the lecture, couples will be invited for a service led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech at Lunzjata chapel.

• A Lenten penitential pilgrimage will be organised by Kerċem parish on Friday at 6 p.m. on the occasion of the feast of St Gregory the Great. The pilgrimage will start from Salvatore Busuttil Square and proceed to the parish church where a concelebrated Mass led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will be held.
