• Enchanted will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.

• The Friends of the Sick and Elderly are holding a car boot sale at Marsalforn car park today from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is invited to take along any unwanted items, bric-a-brac, etc. The charge per car is €10.

• Victoria council is holding its annual general meeting at the Banca Giuratale on Independence Square, Victoria, tomorrow at 7.15 p.m. All residents are invited.

• The new Arka Garden in Għajnsielem will be officially inaugurated on Thursday at 10.30 a.m. This garden, which is next to the respite centre, will provide relaxation to people with disabilities in a private and healthy environment.

During this week's four-day festival, Gozo 1234, the Arka Respite Centre will be open to the public between 9.30 a.m. and noon. Visitors will see the facilities at Dar Arka, obtain information on the services offered, experience the benefits of the Multi Sensory Studios and the Opti-Music Room and relax in the new Arka Garden. A sport memorabilia exhibition together with a sale of safes, mirrors, wrought iron chandeliers, spotlights, curtains, bedspreads, framed traditional local prints, lampshades, and a range of other items, will be held at the Baxter Hall.

• As part of the International String Orchestra Festival, the 26-strong Rotterdam Young Ensemble will give a concert at St Augustine's church in Victoria today at 7.30 p.m. It will feature music by Bach, Haydn, and Mozart . Admission is free.

• The San Lawrenz external festa committee is holding the annual Dwejra Fair next Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• Ninu Cremona Lyceum Complex is holding its Annual Spring Fair next Sunday from 9 a.m. till 5 p,m. as part of Gozo 1234. New and used books, plants, costume jewellery, preserves, home-made cakes, fruit, Gozo antiques, computers and much more will be on sale.

There will be entertainment for all the family. For the very young there will be face painting, pony rides, bouncy castle and Ronald Mc Donald's Magic Show at 11 a.m. The Gozo Philatelic Association and the Malta Aquarium Society will have stalls. Students will organise their own hobby, kite flying, Carnival float construction and pet corner with pet blessing at 9.30. There will be an interactive young artists corner by artist Christopher Saliba, who is also a teacher at this school.

• The school band and a rock band will be playing at intervals. The Gozo Model Car Association will organise remote control car racing at 1 p.m. The Gozo Spirit Combat Club will give a demostration at 10 while the Waterfall dancers will breakdance at 10.30. Everyone is invited to join in the fun.

• As part of Xagħra Day, Xagħra council will organise a cultural evening on the main square today at 7.30 p.m. The programme includes the award of Ġieħ ix-Xagħra as well as the launching of a publication about Bishop Paolo Rosario Farrugia.

• A musical soirée, Magical Musicals, will be held at the Aurora Theatre, Victoria, on Thursday at 8 p.m. with the participation of Maltese and Gozitan singers, dancers and musicians. Tickets may be obtained from the Aurora Opera Theatre, tel: 2156 2974, 2155 9452.

• The Victoria Clarinet Quartet will be participating in Gozo 1234 with a chamber concert at the Sentinella Hall, Victoria, on Friday at 7 p.m. The first part of the concert will be dedicated to the quartet's classical repertoire, while the second part will feature contemporary music such as jazz, pop, latin music and film soundtracks.
