• Mgr Grech will lead a pontifical Mass at the Cathedral, Victoria, on Wednesday at 6 p.m. to mark the beginning of Lent.
• On Thursday, Gozitan priests will attend the premiere of the Maltese film Anno Domini XXXIII, at the Citadel Cinema, Victoria, at 10 a.m. At 6 p.m. Mgr Grech will lead Mass at Munxar parish church, opening three days of solemn adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
• Mgr Grech will lead a Lenten pilgrimage to Ta' Pinu Sanctuary on Friday starting from near St Publius chapel at 6 p.m. followed by Mass at 6.30 p.m.
• On Saturday, at 4.30 p.m., Mgr Grech will take part in a pastoral seminar organised by Qala parish at the convent of the Franciscan Order of Minor Friars, Għajnsielem.
• Surf's Up will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, on Saturday at 5 p.m.
• The Ladies's Circle of the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary is organising its monthly coffee morning on Thursday at 9 a.m. in the main hall of the seminary. Tickets, costing €3, can be obtained from members or from the school.
• Sannat council will be organising the Village Carnival tomorrow from 6 p.m. onwards. The Socjeta Muzikali Santa Margerita will execute band marches along Triq Marsilja, Triq Xabbata, Triq Dun Xand Aquilina and Pjazza Santa Margerita. A programme of dance, costume competitions and spontaneous masquerades will be performed at the village square.
• On the occasion of the feast of St John Bosco, Fr Michael Said will lead a special Mass for all children of Victoria at the Don Bosco Oratory on Thursday at 5 p.m. The Youth Empowerment Centre of Victoria will be organising a Youth Fest on Friday at 8 p.m. at the Don Bosco Oratory Theatre. Various youth bands will be taking part. Entrance is free. Bishop Mario Grech will lead a prayer meeting for married couples at the Don Bosco Oratory chapel on Friday at 8 p.m. A prayer meeting for adolescents and youths will be held on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Don Bosco Oratory chapel. The prayer meeting will be animated by a youth group and band from the Focolare Movement in Malta. Youths and adolescents are invited to attend.
