• Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will confer the ministry of acolyte on three seminarians from Xagħra - Anthony Bajada, Joseph N. Curmi and Richard N. Farrugia - today at 5 p.m., at the parish church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, Xagħra.
• The Padre Pio prayer group is organising a prayer meeting at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces in Victoria, on Friday at 5.30 p.m. The meeting will begin with the rosary followed by Mass at 6 p.m.
• Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a solemn Mass on Thursday at 6 a.m. at the Xaghra Basilica to commemorate the 100th anniversary since the death of Auxiliary Bishop Mgr Paolo Rosario Farrugia of Xagħra.
• Pirates Of The Caribbean 3 At World's End will be screened at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.
• A coffee morning fund-raising activity will be held at the Crystal Palace in Marsalforn, on Thursday at 9 a.m. in aid of Guatamala missions. Tickets from the helpers or by phoning 2155 6509.
• A high tea and tombola will be held at the Leone Band Club in Victoria on Thursday at 7.30 p.m. Tickets may be obtained from the club bar.

• The Rotunda church of St John the Baptist, Xewkija, will be the venue for a Christmas carol service on Wednesday. The programme will include Bible readings related to the Nativity and carols sung by Vox Clamantis choir and a pageant. Christmas messages will be delivered by the Bishop of Gozo, the Chaplain of the Anglican Chaplaincy (Malta and Gozo) and by the parish priest of Xewkija, A collection will be held in aid of Lourdes Home.
• An ecumenical service for all foreign nationals residing or visiting Gozo is being held today between 6.30 and 8 p.m. at St Joseph parish church, Qala, with the participation of various denominations. The Island Brass and St Joseph and Magnificat choirs will take part with the participation of baritone Joseph Buttigieg, tenor Joseph Zammit and soprano Ruth Portelli. Dorielle Bigeni will play the piano. The Menhir Qala Folk Group and the Qala altar boys will also take part in this annual event. Entrance is free.
• Mgr Mario Grech, will lead a Pontifical Mass at the Munxar parish church on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the parish of Munxar, today at 10 a.m. The Ilħna Smewwija choir will take part. Following Mass a lunch will be held at Palazzo Margerita, Sannat.
• The feast of St Lucy will be celebrated today at St Lucy church, Sta Luċija. At 9 a.m. Mgr Grech will lead a concelebrated Mass. At 4.30 p.m. Mgr Gregory Grech will lead the procession with the statue of St Lucy, accompanied by the Leone Band.
• On Saturday a Lectio Divina for youths will be held at St James church, Victoria, at 8.30 p.m. Mgr Grech will lead a moment of prayer and meditation on the Word of God. Afterwards, private adoration of the Eucharist will last till 11.30 p.m. at the same place.
