¤ The feast of St Coronatus, martyr, is being celebrated in Nadur today. Archpriest Mgr Salvu Muscat will lead a concelebrated Mass at 8.30 a.m. Mgr Lawrence Sciberras will deliver the panegyric.

Mass will be said in the Mnarja Band club hall at 9.30, followed by marches in the streets of the village at 10.15.

The procession with the statue, accompanied by the Mnarja Band, and the Jubilate Deo choir, led by Mro Martin Portelli, leaves the church at 3.30 p.m., following solemn vespers led by Mgr Muscat.

¤ A pilgrimage from the Fontana parish church to the Santa Maria cemetery is being held today. The group will meet near the church at 12.30 p.m. Parish priest Fr George Bezzina will say Mass at the cemetery chapel at 1 p.m.

¤ The Jungle Book 2 is being shown at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.

¤ A get-together, in aid of the Dar Stella Maris chapel, is being held today at 4.30 p.m. There will be bingo and spot prizes. Tickets can be obtained from the helpers or by phoning Dar Stella Maris on 2155-1159.

¤ A Remembrance Day ceremony is being organised by the National Festivities Committee, on Independence Square, Victoria, today at 10.30 a.m. The event will be attended by Minister Giovanna Debono.

¤ An exhibition on Chinese script entitled From Oracle Bones to Computer Bytes is being held by the Chinese Cultural Institute, in collaboration with the Gozo Culture Centre, at the Banca Giuratale, Independence Square, Victoria, from tomorrow till Wednesday, November 26.

¤ Nadur council is celebrating its 10th anniversary on Saturday. Mass, with the participation of an American choir, Villa Maria Chorale, will be said at the Basilica at 6.30 p.m. This will be immediately followed by a concert.

¤ The seventh diocesan pastoral congress entitled Building a Christian Community is being held at the Catholic Action premises in Sir Arturo Mercieca Street, Victoria, from Friday evening till Sunday.

¤ A concert, to celebrate Mro Joseph Galea's 10th year as the conductor of the Victory Band, is being held by the Victory Band Club, at the band club on Saturday, November 22, at 7 p.m. Participants include soprano Rita Dimech, mezzo-soprano Sylvia Bonello and the Nativitas choir.

¤ A dinner, in aid of the Franciscans Sisters of Xaghra is being held at Ta' Frenc Restaurant, Victoria, on Sunday, November 29, at 7 p.m. Special guests include Cicco the clown. There will be bingo and spot prizes. Tickets can be obtained from the nuns or from Kelina Borg.
