Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has hinted there may still be a future at the club for striker Michael Mifsud.

The Maltese international's proposed move to Bristol City fell through last month and he remains at the Ricoh Arena.

"If he wants to roll his sleeves up and do his best I won't hold a grudge," Coleman told BBC Coventry and Warwickshire.

"You can't just come back in to us now, saunter in, and think you're going to go straight back into the team."

Coleman's latest comments suggest a softening of his previous hard stance on Mifsud. Last week, the Coventry manager claimed that Mifsud was not in his plans this season after the latter had set his heart on a move away from the Ricoh Arena.

Meanwhile, Coventry City yesterday completed the signing of Clinton Morrison. The 29-year-old striker was free to join a new club after his contract with Crystal Palace expired at the end of last season.
