Melita seem to have a policy not to disconnect the service and keep sending bills after you instruct them, even in writing, to disconnect it.

The excuses are infinite. They tell you they did not receive your letter, then they tell you that they will contact you later, and that never happens and so hoping that time drags on and you continue paying the bills for a service you do not need anymore.

They even keep sending the bills to deceased people whose death certificates have already been forwarded to them month after month in spite of numerous contacts to the so-called customer care department (in my view it should be called customer frustration). All they do is tell you that they will relay your message and the story goes on and on.

This is a very cheap strategy of trying to retain one’s business or income, call it what you may. In the end it is backfiring on them because people talk and it is further discouraging them from having to do with Melita.
