The most queer and bizarre cats from all over the world were the centre of attraction at a major feline exhibition, held in Dortmund, Germany.

Over 400 breeds – from the British Shorthair cat and the Peterbald cat to the Canadian Sphinx and the Himalayan Persian cat – were represented at the World Cat Exhibition.

The two-day event included various competitions, including an Adult with Cat and Child with Cat shows, which saw the four-legged creatures and their proud owners in costume.

Prizes included a year’s supply of cat food for the adult category and a backpack full of goodies for the children.

The event was organised by the World Cat Federation as part of its silver jubilee celebrations, in collaboration with the Cat Fanciers’ Association.

The WCF has more than 370 single organisations, distributed worldwide, also in the United States.

It is an internationally operating federation, officially registered in the registration court in Germany.

The WCF participates in the consultations of the European Parliament in Strasbourg and is co-responsible in the development of animal protection laws by working in the corresponding working groups installed by the legislative organs.
