The Gozo Cathedral Youth Choir recently visited Rome and sang during Mass celebrated by Cathedral archpriest Joseph Attard at the Vatican.

The repertoire included hymns in Maltese, an adaptation of Nadurawk Ja Ħobż tas-Sema and Ave Maria and Sanctus composed for the occasion by the director and leader Matthew Sultana.

The choir also sang during Mass at St Ignatius parish, where Mgr Attard had served for more than 20 years before being appointed parish priest of the Gozo Cathedral. Gozitan priest Richard Farrugia, who is currently serving in the parish, concelebrated Mass with Mgr Attard.

The choir, besides visiting historic places, also attended one of rock artist Ligabue’s live concerts at the Stadio Olimpico.
