Two hooded men armed with a knife escaped with a handbag containing cash and documents when they held up a 33-year-old Czech woman in Wilga Street, St Julians, yesterday evening, the police said.

The woman, who is resident in St Paul's Bay, was walking in the street with a 24-year-old woman from Qormi, when the two men assaulted her, put a knife to her neck and told her to hand over the handbag.

No one was injured.
