Carnival was a joyous time at Dun Karm Sant Tarxien primary school. Various activities were organised, one of which was a 'face painting' activity.

School council parents together with class teachers devoted their energy to produce colourful pupil faces.

The pupils paid a symbolic fee to have their face decorated. The money collected will be donated to the Augustinian mission in Brazil.

Pupils from kinder to year 3 classes were also involved in a 'mask making' afternoon. It was heartening to watch parents share this experience with their children in class.

On Carnival Friday all pupils had the chance to put on their Carnival costumes. The day came to an end with a défilè in the yard to the sound of the Carnival anthem.
