Ivan Gauci recently graduated with a Master of Science in Strategic Marketing from Cranfield School of Management, UK.

His thesis, entitled 'Contemporary practice in actioning market segmentation in the UK Mobile Telecommunications Industry: An exploratory multi-case study approach', focuses on closing the gap between the extensive academic literature on market segmentation and the use of market segmentation in the 'real world' by marketing practitioners.

Mr Gauci researched the strategic management process of market segmentation within four 'best practice' UK mobile telecommunications companies with an emphasis on consumer segments.

This thesis was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Hugh Wilson who is listed in the chartered institute of marketing's global "Guru Gallery" of the "50 leading marketing thinkers alive today".

Mr Gauci had been working with the world's leading marketing information provider, The Nielsen Company UK, where he was involved in modelling projects within the Advanced Analytic Consulting team as an analyst. Prior to this role, he also held commercial and marketing positions in the financial and travel market sectors.

Mr Gauci is an associate member of the Market Research Society UK and obtained a B.A. Honors in Tourism Studies from the University of Malta in 2005.
