Economy Minister Chris Cardona attended Malta Day celebrations in Dubai, marking the 51st anniversary of independence.

Dr Cardona noted the good relations between Malta and the United Arab Emirates that were based on genuine trust and mutual respect since 1973, when the two countries first established formal diplomatic relations.

He expressed his belief that trade relations would continue growing at a steady pace “for the years to come”.

Trade between Malta and the UAE currently ranges from food, textiles and fabrics to chemicals and pharmaceutical products.
