Dar Il-Kaptan is the recipient of Avantech Ltd's 17th Canon printer donation in the ongoing "A Canon printer for a good cause" campaign.

Joseph Bonett, Malta sales manager, made the presentation at the Avantech offices in St Venera on Tuesday to Caroline Spiteri, Care Services manager at the Foundation for Respite Care Services (FRCS).

The foundation is a non-profit and non-government organisation that provides respite services to persons with disability and their families from its base home in Mtarfa.

Dar Il-Kaptan has been providing its services for the past ten years. Such services include day programmes, residential stays and home care. These services currently extend to 240 individuals ranging from a few months old to the age of 55.

Avantech Ltd will be donating a full colour bubblejet printer to individuals, charitable and philanthropic organisations every fortnight throughout this year. The company is asking all organisations, individuals or other institutions to write to:

Avantech Ltd, "A Canon Printer For a Good Cause", 212 Cannon Road, St Venera HMR 07, expressing their reasons and suggestions for indicating a person, or other institution with a worthwhile cause.

The final decision will be at the sole discretion of the Committee appointed by Avantech Ltd's board of directors.

Individuals and organisations benefiting from this initiative will be announced every fortnight on the Avantech Website www.avantech.com.mt and in the local press.
