Opposition leader Simon Busuttil will head a Nationalist Party delegation to China next week at the invitation of the Chinese government.

The delegation will be meeting representatives of the Chinese government in Beijing and Shanghai as well as with officials of businesses with commercial interests in Malta.

Dr Busuttil said the PN still believed relations with China should continue to be strengthened and that these should be built on honesty, transparency and reciprocal respect.

He will be accompanied by deputy leader Beppe Fenech Adami, foreign affairs spokesman Tonio Fenech, international secretary Trevor Degiorgio and his head of office, Matthew Gatt.
