The Public Transport Association is to hold meeting for bus owners and drivers late this evening to explain the agreement it reached with the government.

The agreement was concluded at 11 p.m. last night after a meeting which started shortly before 6 p.m.

The government in its initial proposal had made an offer of €52.4 million including payment for buses and licences. It also offered drivers a 10-year job guarantee if they join the new bus service operator.
