The latest issue of the food and drink magazine E&D will be distributed with The Times tomorrow consisting of a festive bumper issue full of stories, recipes and ideas about how to make Christmas a better tasting one.

This month, E&D takes a trip to Japan to check out the weird and wonderful Asian delicacies, following TV personality Ruth Frendo on her culinary adventure. Closer to home, E&D focuses on the most tantalising sweet recipes from Erice, a small mediaeval village in Sicily whose claim to fame lies in inventing the delicious Genovesi.

This month also brings interviews with three very different, yet equally fascinating personalities. Meet Paul Cassar, the brains behind the Cappuccino Tiramisu, whose invention is being "copied" even away from our shores. Manwel Carter, who started out as an RFA cook and today volunteers in the kitchen at the Kalkara monastery, has a fascinating story that will warm the hearts of many. Finally, readers also get to meet Daniela Bartoli, a veritable cake fairy who has transformed cake decoration into an art and intrigues children and adults alike with her unique creations.

For those who would like to prepare something different for Christmas Day, E&D has got together some of the best chefs in Malta to give their own personal Christmas recipes with a twist. Agony aunt Gloria Mizzi is also back with some invaluable advice for the kitchen and those who would rather spend the festive season in peace and quiet can check out ideas for a relaxing cooking weekend in Gozo!

E&D is designed by MediaMaker Ltd and published by Allied Newspapers Ltd. The magazine's executive editor is Ramona Depares.
