The British Formula One Grand Prix has sold out with 100,000 people buying tickets for the July 10 race, organisers said.
The race at Silverstone was in jeopardy until a five-year deal was hammered out last December between circuit owners the British Racing Drivers' Club and F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone. It was also sold out in 2004.
"We are delighted that F1 fans have once again shown such overwhelming support for the British Grand Prix," said Silverstone managing director Richard Phillips. "A sell-out crowd is exactly what Silverstone, Formula One and, more importantly, the fans deserve."
