It is distressing to see huge crowds, eager to be entertained being hosted in a place like Ta' Qali where you cannot exploit the potential of their spending power. I have nothing against the well-organised facilities in Ta' Qali but would it not be better if such crowds were entertained in Valletta?
With the latest trend of "dine or shop where parked", it stands to reason that many would resort to eating out in the city, visit one of the many shopping complexes, or merely walk around town.
Taking away entertainment from Valletta has given our city the awful name of ghost town.
Hundreds of shops and restaurants benefit from entertainment events in Valletta and parking is definitely not a problem in the evening because it's free. Nothing beats the city feeling after a night at the theatre but I cannot say the same for Ta' Qali where the only thing one can do within walking distance is visit the empty car parks.
