Welsh boxer Joe Calzaghe's unification world title fight with Denmark's Mikkel Kessler will be on November 3 at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.

Welsh Rugby Union Group chief executive Roger Lewis said in a statement that a deal between the WRU Group and promoter Frank Warren had secured the super middleweight bout.

The 28-year-old Kessler holds the WBA and WBC titles while Calzaghe is the WBO champion. Both fighters are unbeaten.

It will be a 21st consecutive title defence for 35-year-old Calzaghe, who beat American Peter Manfredo Jr at the same venue in front of a record indoor European crowd of 35,000 in April.
