Stephen Ciangura, a bouncer at Giampula, has been cleared by a court of having injured party goer Renè Brincat after a court said that it could not be proven beyond reasonable doubt that it was him who hit Brincat.
The court said that while there was no doubt that Mr Brincat had been assaulted by a security officer and had suffered a broken jaw after being hit in the face with somebody's knee , no one had conclusively identified Ciangura as the author of the attack.
