Selection for Malta's National Rugby League squad will come together over the next five days as coach Anthony Micallef finalises preparations for the European Bowl clash against Norway next Friday at Ħamrun.

Domestic players will take to Golden Bay again today, welcoming Parramatta Eels 18-year-old centre Charlie Bonanno.

Malta's other overseas based players arrive in the next 48 hours, leaving 12 spots open for players from the domestic championship.

Micallef says his players are coming along in time for their biggest international Rugby League fixture to date.

"We've settled on our halves pairing, two local boys - Malcolm (Attard) and Chris (Morton). There's still a number of other positions in the balance, however," Micallef said.

"I feel our players look very well prepared for the challenge in front of them. We'll use next week to weed out the small problem areas before match day and then we're down to business."
