Brad Hindle-Deguara, Malta's leading squash player, was in top form last weekend as he claimed the 2010 Belgium Open title.

After beating Dylan Bennett, of the Netherlands, 14-12, 11-8, 11-9 in the semi-finals, Hindle-Deguara secured the title after seeing off Egypt player Amr Khaled Khalifa 7-11, 13-11, 11-6, 11-5 in the final.

Hindle-Deguara was consistent throughout the tournament, dropping just one game. His success in Belgium capped a string of solid performances from Hindle-Deguara on the European tour after he made it to the semi-finals of the Finland Open and bowed out in the last 16 in Paris.

The Maltese representative is one of the few players who has a 100 per cent winning record in the European League season.

Hindle-Deguara will be representing Malta in the Commonwealth Games, to be held in India later this year.
