Tonight will see the start of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest – a show over two evenings which some consider to be the equivalent of the Maltese Oscars.
Kristina Chetcuti went behind the scenes at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in the final minutes before the curtain rose after 73 hours of rehearsals.
The winner will head to Germany for the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Düsseldorf: may the, err, most interesting song win.
