Dirk Nowitzki gained sweet revenge for the Dallas Mavericks as he guided them past the Phoenix Suns 102-93 in Phoenix to reach the National Basketball Association Finals for the first time. The big German scored 24 points and 10 rebounds and Josh Howard added 20 points and had 15 rebounds for the Mavericks, who won the best-of-seven Western Conference series 4-2 to advance to the Finals for the first time in their 26-year franchise history. Dallas will host Game One of the Finals on Thursday night against the Miami Heat. Nowitzki, coming off a career-high 50 points in Game Five in Dallas on Thursday, had 16 of his 24 points in the second half to help Dallas win its third straight series on the road.
