The barman of Marsaxlokk Nationalist Party Club on the day that Anthony Borg Il-Bona was murdered in Marsaxlokk has admitted in court to having hidden the gun allegedly used in the murder and having given the police false information.

Paul Borg, 55 of Zabbar, was condemned to 14 months imprisonment suspended for three years and interdicted for 10 years after the court said that the case was very serious.

It also noted, however, that the accused had himself after a few days consigned the weapon to the police and admitted his guilty in an early stage of the proceedings against him.
