Banking on Women (BoW), a voluntary female association within HSBC Bank Malta plc, now in its 10th year, recently held its annual general meeting for its members.

BoW president Pauline Azzopardi said the group aims to help women become more assertive and confident, making them aware of their strengths and weaknesses so as to bring out the best in themselves. The association aims to encourage women to seek executive and managerial positions within the bank and develop constructive attitudes towards their career.

BoW is in regular contact with professionals from the banking world, women’s organisations and other groups to offer its members a more informative and enriching experience. The association is fully backed by HSBC Bank Malta plc.

BoW organises a number of activities, such as parental skills sessions, open for staff members and their partners, as well as sessions on neurolinguistic skills and various cultural talks and events.
