The autopsy on the corpse of a 50-year-old Birkirkara woman found in the sea off Dingli Cliffs yesterday morning was inconclusive, the police said.

They said that further tests have to be carried out on the body.

The corpse was recovered from the sea yesterday morning after having been spotted by a fisherman. According to some reports, the woman had blows to the head and other parts of the body which could have been caused by a seacraft's propellor.

The autopsy was held this afternoon.
