It was a justifying pleasure seeing the beautiful picture of the Auberge de Castille in The Times recently.

It seems that nature works in mysterious ways, and it took it upon herself to remove those hideous trees from in front of such a glorious and historic building. That the government gave nature a helping hand in removing the rest of the trees is to be applauded. I had, in the past, written numerous letters in The Times urging the authorities to go ahead with their plan and remove all trees from the capital's main squares. I hope that this is the start.
