Everyone should make an effort to mitigate the loneliness of the elderly especially those who lived in homes or alone, Archbishop Paul Cremona said in his message for Christmas.

Mgr Cremona gave his message this year from St Vincent de Paul residence accompanies by a group of children and young people in an expression of solidarity between generations.

He said that more attention should be given to the elderly's experience and initiatives should be embarked upon to mitigate their loneliness.
